The book I'm reading is called Cali Boys . The book so far is about two main girls named Kassidy Maddox and Jabcobi Swanson. In the first chapter was about Jacobi and how she just moved there. She was talking about parts of her body she didn't like, her family and the guy she liked named Shooby. One day she was in her room and her mom told her it was someone for her at the door, she mad no clue who it was because she had made no friends out there yet but it was her neighbor Alissa. They ended up trying to go to the car show but that didn't work out because it was taking to long Jacobi ended up meet Malone, Alissa brother Later that night her step sister yummy who she cant stand saw her coming though the window and got her in trouble. Jacobi's mom told her she couldn't leave the house the next day. So to get her revenge she went in to yummys room and found her prom list which had Malone name on it so she stated acting like they were together untill she saw Diggs. The next chapter was basically the same thing but getting to know Kassidy. Kassidy moved from New York and is a model. She has a boyfriend named Brent but ever since she moved she couldn't find him. She has a best friend named Faith who does the same thing as her but she lived in New York she also likes few different guys but she calls herself just wanting to be shown around the town.

I pushed "publish" for you so I could give you the points. I will show you how to do that tomorrow. I notice that you keep saying, "the next chapter does the same thing." Do you find that annoying? How does this book to compare to your other favorites?
ReplyDeleteSo does this book have a bunch of different characters, and each chapter is about one of them, or is it just the two, Kassidy and Jacobi? Do the two girls know each other or are their stories completely separate? You also quickly mentioned how Jacobi doesn't like parts of her body, and how Kassidy is a model. Would you say that they are complete opposites or that they have stuff in common? Sorry for asking so many questions! I think that answering them in your next blog post would be cool, so that way we can hear about what's going on in the story but also what you think of it!
ReplyDeleteGoing off of what Asha said above, how is this book structured? Is every chapter just a different part of the story, or does each character have their own chapter that focuses on their life? You mentioned that Kassidy has a boyfriend named Brent and ever since she moved out of New York she hasn't been able to find him. What does this mean? Has she not been able to connect with him or is he actually a missing person who is lost? Clarification on that would be great since it's personal to one of the main characters. Another thing, what's the setting or time period of this story? I honestly feel like it could be set during 70s or modern day, so knowing this I think would be key to understanding who some of the characters are and what they believe in.
ReplyDeleteWow, nice post. You shared a lot of detailed information about the characters. It seems like there are some pretty complicated intertwined relationships. You said that the first chapter was about Jacobi, and the second was about Kassidy. Personally, I like this kind of structure where an author separates characters by chapters, but eventually the separate story lines converge into one. I am sure it was interesting to see how the characters' lives unfolded, and how the relationship between Jacobi and Kassidy developed.
ReplyDeleteThe was a super detailed post! You definitely shared a lot about the characters and gave a bit of a back story. So what exactly is happening besides a lot of drama? What happened to Kassidy's boyfriend? Since prom is mentioned, I'm assuming it takes place during the character's time in high school, but where exactly is it set? I think that a story that would be set in a small town would have a different dynamic than one set in a city. Good job summarizing it!
